Danville is where our office sits, and it is the town I know street by street. The courthouse square is the genuine center of community life: local restaurants, the Royal Theater, farmers market and county fair all happen within a few blocks.
The housing story here is different from Avon or Plainfield. Danville has an unusually deep inventory of pre-1940 homes with original woodwork and porches, plus newer subdivisions on the south and west edges and small-acreage properties just outside town limits.
Schools
Danville Community School Corporation is a smaller district with the class sizes and teacher familiarity that come with it. Families moving from larger metro districts consistently mention how quickly their kids were known by name here.
Commute to Indianapolis
Downtown Indianapolis is a 30–35 minute drive via US 36 and I-465, and Avon's retail and hospital corridor is about 12 minutes east. Buyers who work from home or commute west find Danville's tradeoff very favorable.
Lifestyle & amenities
